Horizontal Drum Volume Calculation


Horizontal drum volume calculations are based on calculations for areas of segments of circles, for the cylinderical section, and the volume of spherical segments for the heads. Partially filled torospherical heads are assumed to have the same fractional fill volume to total volume ratio as has an equivalent elliptical head at the same liquid height.
