Short-Cut Exchanger Sizing Calculation


Exchanger calculations are based on standard heat exchanger calculations with no phase change, or phase change at constant temperature throughout the exchanger, in either true countercurrent or true cocurrent configuration. It is assumed that the heat capacity of the cold stream and the hot stream are essentially constant through the temperature range of the heat exchanger.
